Indian government seeks parliament nod for extra spending for FY25

The Indian government sought on Thursday parliament's approval for gross additional spending of 867.3 billion rupees ($10.22 billion) in the current fiscal year, the finance ministry said.

The government said the net additional spending for the current fiscal year ending March 31, would be 441.83 billion rupees, while the rest would be accommodated by reshuffling expenses.
