Hero MotoCorp declines on reporting 18% fall in total sales in December 2024
Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 4214.10, down by 96.45 points or 2.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 4310.55 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 4269.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4277.85 and Rs. 4159.90 respectively. So far 16501 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 6245.00 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3930.30 on 04-Jan-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4322.40 and Rs. 4130.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 84421.80 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.75%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 56.53% and 8.72% respectively.
Hero MotoCorp has sold 324,906 units of motorcycles and scooters in December 2024 as compared to 393,952 units in December 2023, i.e. down by 17.53%. In the domestic business the company sold 294,152 units in December 2024, while the company has exported 30,754 units during the same month.
The company has capped-off the calendar year 2024 on a positive note with sales of 59,11,065 (5.9 million) units of motorcycles and scooters from January - December 2024. This translates into a volume growth of 7.5% over the corresponding period CY 2023, when the company sold 54,99,524 (5.5 million) units of two-wheelers.
The company recorded a notable double-digit 49% growth in its global business sales during the CY2024. In line with its focus on the electric vehicle (EV) segment, company made significant strides with sales of over 46,662 units of VIDA V1 e-scooters in the CY 2024.
