Gujarat: Authorities and medical teams mobilise in flood-hit Dwarka
Authorities have launched immediate medical services in flood-hit Dwarka town of Gujarat following heavy rainfall and widespread flooding. The Devbhoomi Dwarka Health Team, with the Varvala Primary Health Centre, set up a base in Bhimrana village and deployed ten teams for door-to-door efforts to prevent mosquito-borne diseases. Extensive fogging operations are being conducted in waterlogged areas to target mosquito breeding sites. Medical professionals screened every household for malaria and other diseases, and the Diarrhea Stop Program has been launched to ensure proper treatment for locals. Civic and medical authorities are working tirelessly to restore normalcy and protect residents in flood-affected areas. Road repairs have intensified as water recedes. Additionally, NGOs are actively assisting in the recovery efforts.
