Gravita India soars as its arm starts commercial production of Recycled Aluminum Alloys in Ghana
Gravita India is currently trading at Rs. 2224.80, up by 48.50 points or 2.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 2176.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 2219.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2242.00 and Rs. 2185.00 respectively. So far 2579 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2699.85 on 18-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 730.95 on 13-Mar-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2282.00 and Rs. 2160.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16411.68 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.37%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.22% and 19.41% respectively.
Gravita India’s step-down subsidiary -- Recyclers Ghana has started commercial production of Recycled Aluminum Alloys from its new recycling plant having an annual capacity of around 4,000 MTPA in phase-I situated in Ghana, West Africa. Going ahead, the company has plans to increase the capacity of said plant upto 8,000 MTPA.
The company is already having similar aluminum recycling facility in Senegal, Mozambique, Tanzania, Togo and India. Further, this is in line with the company's vision of replicating the recycling business in different geographies. The Group has made investment of around Rs 6.75 crore in phase-I for procurement and commissioning of the said Recycling Plant which is invested from internal accruals of the company.
The company will be procuring domestic aluminum scrap for the purpose of production from this plant and it will cater to the needs of Automobiles and die casting industries situated in Europe & Asia. This plant will help company to change its sales mix by increasing the contribution from aluminum business.
