FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per December 31 data: NSDL

he FIIs as per Tuesday's data were net sellers in equity and debt segments both, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 16199.92 crore against gross selling of Rs 17798.70 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 1598.78 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2187.92 crore with gross sales of Rs 2745.33 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 557.41 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 1071.24 crore, they stood at net sellers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 697.71 crore, while net buyers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 1211.54 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 22.70 crore against gross selling of Rs 86.19 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 63.49 crore in hybrid segment.
