FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per August 08 data: NSDL

The FIIs as per Thursday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 14970.93 crore against gross selling of Rs 17812.58 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 2841.65 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2326.63 crore with gross sales of Rs 347.00 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 1979.63 crore in debt.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 22.53 crore against gross selling of Rs 19.59 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 2.94 crore in hybrid segment.
