Dense fog envelops Delhi, minimum temperature drops to 6°C

Delhi woke up to dense fog and chill as mercury further dipped on December 18. As per IMD, the minimum temperature in Delhi today is 6°C. The iconic India Gate was seen covered in dense fog in the morning. 
A layer of haze covered the Barapulla area in Delhi. As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in the area remains in 'severe' category. 
A thin layer of smog was also seen near AIIMS. People were seen taking a morning walk in the Nehru Park area amid a dense layer of fog. GRAP stage IV measures have also been in effect in the entire NCR since December 16 after deterioration in air quality.
