Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recalls Vithalbhai Patel’s 1925 milestone at Speakers Conference 2025
At Speakers Conference 2025, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said "... 100 years ago, for the first time under British rule, a person of Indian origin became the speaker of this assembly. That was the first flame that must have burned in every Indian's heart that Indians can raise their voice under British rule when on 24 August 1925, Vithalbhai Patel achieved a democratic victory against British rule."
