Deferment of salaries aimed at systematic financial reform: CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu addressed the decision to defer the salaries of state ministers, including his own, for two months, emphasizing that the state is asserting its rights from the Center. He dismissed any rumors of a financial crisis, explaining that the move is intended to enhance the financial system in an organized manner and to highlight the ministers' responsibility towards society.
“We are demanding our rights from the Centre. I would also to say that when we make amends, such decisions cause hindrances briefly for some time. It doesn't mean that there is a financial crisis. We are improving the financial system in a systematic manner...As far as the deferment of salary is concerned, we have to create awareness regarding our responsibility towards the people in society”, said Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
