DCM Shriram rises as its arm increases capacity of uPVC extrusion at Kota

DCM Shriram is currently trading at Rs. 1061.95, up by 15.80 points or 1.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 1046.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1059.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1070.00 and Rs. 1046.00 respectively. So far 1365 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1121.65 on 19-Oct-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 730.05 on 29-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1076.60 and Rs. 1032.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16387.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.28% and 22.20% respectively.

DCM Shriram's arm -- Fenesta has increased capacity of uPVC extrusion at Kota. As part of the expansion, Fenesta has successfully installed - 2 Extrusion Lines and 1 Blending Line to increase the capacity of uPVC extrusion, located at Udyog Nagar, Kota Industrial Area in Kota, Rajasthan.

The planned expansion at the Kota plant will boost the annual production of upvc profiles from 8,600 metric tons to 12,284 metric tons. This strategic move bolsters production capabilities, ensuring delivery of high-quality products. The increased capacity exemplifies Fenesta's commitment to meeting growing market demands while maintaining excellence in craftsmanship.

DCM Shriram runs two businesses energy intensive and agri business. The company is also the third largest manufacturer of Chlor-Alkali in the India. They have launched value added UPVC window system business under the Fenesta TM brand in India.
