Daily Market Update - 11th September 2026 - Ventura Securities Ltd

Market Outlook: Indian markets are likely to open negative, with Gift Nifty declining by 130.5 pts (-0.56%) following weak global cues, as the S&P 500 fell 44.6 pts (-0.58%), Dow Jones declined by 316.2 pts (-0.60%) and Nasdaq 100 dropped 318.0 pts (-1.08%). Domestic sentiment remains cautious despite the Nifty 50 gaining 0.20% in the previous session, with NSE breadth remaining weak at 1,466 advances against 2,077 declines and BSE at 1,826 advances versus 2,502 declines. Options positioning indicates resistance around 24,000 on Nifty, while 23,000 remains the key Put OI level; Bank Nifty Call and Put OI are both concentrated at 57,500, with PCR at 1.23.
 

FII & DII Activity: Institutional flows remained mixed, with FIIs selling a net Rs438.24 crore in the cash market on 10th September, while DIIs remained strong buyers at Rs1,025.85 crore. September-to-date flows stood at approximately Rs1,510 crore of FII buying versus Rs23,019 crore of DII buying, indicating that persistent domestic institutional buying continues to provide downside support, although foreign positioning remains cautious amid oil, currency and interest-rate risks.
 

Sector Activity: Sectoral performance remained mixed, with Nifty Financial Services (+0.57%), Services (+0.40%), PSU Banks (+0.39%), Private Banks (+0.34%) and Consumer Durables (+0.06%) outperforming. Nifty Metal (-0.65%), India Manufacturing (-0.58%), Pharma (-0.51%), Auto (-0.41%) and Health (-0.38%) remained under pressure, while Oil & Gas was largely flat at +0.01%.
 

F&O Activity: Long build-up was witnessed in 360 ONE, Hyundai, Radico Khaitan, Blue Star and Ather Energy, indicating fresh buying interest. Short build-up was observed in Bank of Maharashtra, Cochin Shipyard, Astral, KEI Industries and L&T Technology Services. Long unwinding was seen in Adani Ports, Max Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, Adani Enterprises and Pidilite Industries, whereas short covering emerged in Force Motors, Cholamandalam Investment, Power Grid, Nykaa and Cummins India.

Man Industries: The company received domestic and international orders worth approximately Rs600 crore for supplying various types of pipes, with deliveries scheduled over 6–9 months. Its unexecuted order book consequently stands at approximately Rsrs4,100 crore.

Kolte-Patil Developers: The company booked more than 600 apartments worth over Rs600 crore in 60 hours at Vyana at The Reserve in Pune. The 20-acre project has approximately 5 million sq. ft. of saleable area and an estimated GDV of Rs4,000 crore.

JSW Infrastructure: The company completed the 100% acquisition of NCR Rail Infrastructure for Rs467.47 crore and separately paid Rs41.94 crore for approximately 39.57 acres, taking the combined outlay to Rs509.41 crore. The acquired Khurja freight terminal has six rail lines, two operational warehouses and a 130-acre land bank.

Poonawalla Fincorp: The company approved secured, listed NCD issuances aggregating up to Rs2,000 crore through private placement, comprising up to Rs500 crore under Series E1 and Rs1,500 crore under Series F1, including greenshoe options.

Pokarna: The US Department of Commerce preliminarily assigned Pokarna Engineered Stone a 0% anti-dumping duty for quartz-surface product exports covering June 2024 to May 2025. The preliminary rate is not yet effective, with the final determination expected by March 2027
