Daily Derivative Report - 13th August 2026 by Religare Broking Ltd
Market Outlook
The Indian market witnessed a volatile trading session, with the key benchmark index Nifty 50 opening on a flattish note and maintain the negative bias during the first half. The index slipped below the longterm moving average of 200-DEMA; however, a sharp reversal emerged from the 24,250 zone in the second half, helping Nifty reclaim the 24,400 mark before settling with a marginal decline of 0.15%. On the derivatives front, call writing intensified at the 24,600 strike, indicating an immediate upside hurdle. Sustained trading below this level is likely to keep the cautious bias intact. On the downside, fresh put writing was observed at the 24,200 strike, suggesting an immediate downside cushion for the index.
