Cyient surges after HDFC Mutual Fund buys shares of the company for Rs 204 crore

Cyient is currently trading at Rs. 1798.00, up by 3.70 points or 0.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 1794.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1810.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1819.00 and Rs. 1781.00 respectively. So far 15475 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2457.00 on 22-Dec-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1150.00 on 04-May-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1920.75 and Rs. 1781.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19940.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 23.16%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 56.97% and 19.87% respectively.

HDFC Mutual Fund has bought shares of Cyient for Rs 204 crore through an open market transaction. According to the bulk deal data available with the BSE, HDFC Mutual Fund purchased 11.33 lakh shares, amounting to a 1.02 per cent stake in Cyient. 

The shares were picked up at an average price of Rs 1,800 apiece, taking the deal size to Rs 204.10 crore. After the stake buy, HDFC Mutual Fund's shareholding in Cyient has increased to 2.1 per cent from 1.08 per cent.
