`Country will face consequences` Karti Chidambaram attacks Centre over CEC Bill
Congress leader and Member of Parliament from Lok Sabha Karti Chidambaram attacked the central government over the passage of Chief Election Commissioner Bill 2023 in Rajya Sabha. He said it’s unfortunate and the country will face consequences in the long run.
While speaking over the passage of the bill in Lok Sabha, he said Lok Sabha is becoming a rubber stamp and everything could happen what the government wants as they have the majority.
He said, “Lok Sabha is only a rubber stamp, nothing which government wants will not get passed in the Lok Sabha because everything the government wants to happen because they have a brut majority, it's unfortunate and Lok Sabha is becoming a rubber stamp and the country will face the consequences of these kinds of institutional collapses in the long run.”
