Cochin Shipyard rises on entering into contract with Indian Navy
Cochin Shipyard is currently trading at Rs. 916.35, up by 11.20 points or 1.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 905.15 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 914.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 924.60 and Rs. 906.00 respectively. So far 52743 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 944.65 on 31-Jan-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 205.50 on 27-Mar-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 944.65 and Rs. 855.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24098.20 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.30% and 20.84% respectively.
Cochin Shipyard has entered into a contract with the Indian Navy for undertaking Medium Refits of Two Indian Naval Vessels. This Multiple Refit Contract was signed on February 02, 2023, for a value of around Rs 150 crore. The scope includes dry-docking and Refit as well as Upgradation of equipment on board the ships.
Cochin Shipyard is the first Greenfield and presently the most modern shipbuilding and ship repair yard in India.
