CESC declines on reporting 6% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

CESC is currently trading at Rs. 152.35, down by 10.15 points or 6.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 162.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 161.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 161.65 and Rs. 151.45 respectively. So far 423958 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 212.70 on 26-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.70 on 14-Mar-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 187.45 and Rs. 151.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 20148.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.94% and 11.95% respectively.

CESC  has reported 1.18% rise in its net profit at Rs 172 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2024 (Q3FY25) as compared to Rs 170 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 7.93% at Rs 1,987 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 1,841 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 6.31% fall in net profit at Rs 282 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 301 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 10.78% at Rs 3,657 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 3,301 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
