Observations

USDINR trading range for the day is 95.56-95.78.

Rupee was flat as central bank intervention continued to anchor the currency even as rising crude oil prices and persistent dollar demand

India's Manufacturing PMI eased to 52.9 in August 2026 from 53.5 in July, marking the weakest improvement in factory conditions since August 2021.

India Services PMI increased to 54.5 in August 2026 from 53.3 in the previous month, which was the weakest expansion since early 2022

 

EURINR

EURINR trading range for the day is 111.65-112.21.

Euro strengthened above $1.170, reaching its highest level since May, boosted by improving European economic data and a weaker US dollar.

Hourly labor costs in the Euro Area increased by 3% year-on-year in Q2 2026, following a 3.2% rise in the previous period.

Eurozone annual inflation accelerated to 2.9% in July 2026, in line with flash estimates, up from 2.8% in June and remaining well above the ECB’s Bank's 2.0% target

GBPINR trading range for the day is 130.41-131.11.

GBP gains after the U.S. Treasury took a surprise measure to arrest a rise in long-term borrowing costs.

The UK GfK Consumer Confidence Index rose to -14 in August 2026 from -17 in the previous month, marking the highest level in two years.

A gauge of British factory orders rose this month to reach its highest level since November 2024.

Treasury yields Japan's trade deficit widened sharply to JPY 634.5 billion in July 2026 from JPY 156.3 billion in the same month a year earlier.

Japan’s exports rose 23.2% year-on-year to a new record JPY 11,511.8 billion in July 2026, marking the strongest growth since October 2022.
