Bharti Airtel rises on getting nod to purchase 95% shareholding in Airtel
Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 1232.50, up by 4.65 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 1227.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1227.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1238.50 and Rs. 1223.85 respectively. So far 285533 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1240.65 on 19-Mar-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 738.70 on 29-Mar-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1240.65 and Rs. 1164.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 745943.67 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.57%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.30% and 3.13% respectively.
Bharti Airtel has received approval from board of directors to purchase of 95% shareholding in Airtel, a step-down wholly-owned subsidiary company from another wholly-owned subsidiary company.
The company has also received approval to transfer of Company’s entire shareholding in Nxtra Data, a subsidiary company to Airtel. The above will have no impact on the ownership or control of Bharti Airtel over the abovementioned subsidiaries. The Board of Directors of the Company, at its meeting held on March 19, 2024 approved the same.
