Bharti Airtel rises on deploying additional sites in Thrissur to densify network

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 1133.50, up by 10.60 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 1122.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1123.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1140.40 and Rs. 1118.00 respectively. So far 134197 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1200.95 on 25-Jan-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 736.20 on 02-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1152.10 and Rs. 1098.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 685248.82 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.57%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.30% and 3.13% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has deployed additional sites in Thrissur district to densify its network. The network enhancement project was undertaken across 25 towns and 210 villages covering 11 lakh population base in Thrissur district. The additional sites will further augment customer experience in this region on both voice and data connectivity.

Customers in the tehsils of Chavakkad, Kodungallur, Mukundapuram, Talappilly, and Thrissur under Thrissur district will directly benefit from this network enhancement. This expansion will enable seamless access to high-speed connectivity, a massive service for customers in rural & smaller towns in Thrissur thereby ensuring reliable mobile network for work, study and entertainment. In this year alone, Airtel has doubled down on its commitment to the state and has invested additional capex to enhance its network connectivity for seamless experience on 4G, 5G, Broadband and Fiber.

Airtel has been running rural enhancement project nationally and will augment network connectivity across 60,000 villages in the country by 2024. Kerala has been one of the big focus market for the company and with this initiative, the company will be augmenting its network coverage across 1600 villages and 355 towns covering the entire state.
