Berger Paints India surges after reporting 33% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 552.50, up by 3.70 points or 0.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 548.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 542.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 554.35 and Rs. 541.60 respectively. So far 51550 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 679.05 on 22-Sep-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 439.49 on 03-Feb-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 562.95 and Rs. 535.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 64312.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.96% and 10.05% respectively.

Berger Paints India has reported 27.91% rise in its net profit at Rs 243.89 crore for Q2FY24 as compared to Rs 190.68 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 2.84% at Rs 2,455.70 crore for Q2FY24 as compared Rs 2,387.97 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 33.08% rise in its net profit at Rs 292.13 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 219.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 3.69% at Rs 2,782.58 crore for Q2FY24 as compared Rs 2,683.50 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
