Together, these metrics highlight the fund’s disciplined approach to managing risk while generating returns.

A megatrends approach to long-term investing

The Bajaj Finserv Flexi Cap Fund follows a unique Megatrends investment strategy designed to identify businesses positioned to benefit from long-duration structural shifts.

Its proprietary T.R.E.N.D.S. framework evaluates opportunities across six areas:

  • Technology
  • Regulatory developments
  • Economic change
  • Nature and sustainability
  • Demographic shifts
  • Social change

The strategy combines top-down identification of structural trends with bottom-up company research and valuation discipline. It also draws on the AMC’s InQuBe investment philosophy, which integrates informational, quantitative and behavioural insights into portfolio decisions.

With high active share of 70%, the fund maintains a differentiated, conviction-led portfolio. True to its label, the Bajaj Finserv Flexi Cap Fund has made meaningful allocation shifts across market cycles, including an underweight position in IT and a focus on consumer durables, pharma, auto components and diversified metals. This conviction-led approach has helped the fund outperform its benchmark across market cycles, while aim to limit losses and recovering faster during most corrections.

Over the past three years, the fund has invested in themes including healthcare, contract research and manufacturing services, energy transition, electrification, and precision engineering linked to India’s defence and manufacturing growth. It continues to assess emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence and data centres, domestic manufacturing, commodities, electric vehicles and battery storage.

Speaking on this milestone, Ganesh Mohan, Managing Director, Bajaj Asset Management Limited, said,” Completing three years marks an important milestone for Bajaj Finserv Flexi Cap Fund, our flagship equity fund. Since its launch in August 2023, the fund has grown to over Rs 8,100 crore in assets under management and is held over 3 lakh investor folios as on 31 July 2026. This growing participation reflects the trust investors have placed in our differentiated, megatrends-led approach and our commitment to remaining true to label.

The fund’s journey reinforces our belief that disciplined investing, thoughtful risk management and consistent execution across market cycles are essential to long-term wealth creation.”

Adding further, Nimesh Chandan, Chief Investment Officer, Bajaj Asset Management Limited, said “As Bajaj Finserv Flexi Cap Fund completes three years, our investment philosophy remains centred on identifying megatrends that can shape future profit pools and selecting quality businesses with the capabilities, balance-sheet strength and management depth to benefit from them. Our flexibility across market capitalisations allows us to pursue opportunities arising from technological, regulatory, demographic, sustainability, economic and social shifts, while remaining firmly anchored in fundamental research and valuation discipline. We continue to focus on building a diversified portfolio of durable businesses with the potential to compound value over the long term.”
