Automobiles stocks soar after SIAM says passenger vehicle wholesales rise 14% in January

Automobiles stocks trade higher after the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) in its latest data has showed that domestic passenger vehicle wholesales rose 14 per cent year-on-year to 3,93,074 units in January 2024, amid robust demand for utility vehicles. It said dispatches of passenger vehicle from manufacturers to dealers stood at 3,46,080 units in January 2023.  

Maruti Suzuki India is currently trading at Rs. 11026.60, up by 234.85 points or 2.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 10791.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 10700.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 11035.05 and Rs. 10700.00 respectively. So far 8289 shares were traded on the counter. 

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 917.05, up by 10.15 points or 1.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 906.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 900.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 919.80 and Rs. 894.15 respectively. So far 484851 shares were traded on the counter.

Mahindra & Mahindra is currently trading at Rs. 1658.15, up by 12.25 points or 0.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 1645.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 1641.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1679.40 and Rs. 1625.00 respectively. So far 157660 shares were traded on the counter.
