Ashok Leyland gains on reporting 5% rise in May sales

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 237.00, up by 1.00 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 236.00 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 237.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 237.60 and Rs. 234.40 respectively. So far 50966 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 264.70 on 27-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 190.40 on 07-Apr-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 243.15 and Rs. 234.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 69595.70 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.64% and 10.84% respectively.
Ashok Leyland has reported 5% rise in its total sales, including exports, at 15,484 units in May 2025 as compared to 14,682 units in May 2024. Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales stood at 5,202 units in May 2025. Medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) Trucks and Bus sales stood at 7,606 units and 2,676 units, respectively.
Total domestic sales in May 2025 stood at 14,534 units. Domestic LCV sales stood at 5,148 units in May 2025. Domestic M&HCV Trucks and M&HCV bus sales stood at 7,466 units and 1,920 units, respectively.
Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
