Adani Power jumps on reporting over 9-fold jump in Q2 consolidated net profit

Adani Power is currently trading at Rs. 383.05, up by 10.30 points or 2.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 372.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 377.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 389.50 and Rs. 376.00 respectively. So far 487219 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 410.00 on 12-Sep-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 132.55 on 28-Feb-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 393.15 and Rs. 345.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 148588.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.56%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.27% and 12.18% respectively.

Adani Power has reported over 7-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 6,625.39 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2023 (Q2FY24) as compared to Rs 928.28 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 46.91% at Rs 12,370.07 crore for Q2FY24 as compared Rs 8,420.22 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported over 9-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 6,594.17 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 695.53 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 76.84% at Rs 14,935.68 crore for Q2FY24 as compared Rs 8,445.99 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
