Wipro trades higher on reporting 28% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 457.90, up by 26.90 points or 6.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 431.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 442.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 458.95 and Rs. 437.00 respectively. So far 945865 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 467.20 on 13-Jan-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 174.00 on 21-Apr-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 454.55 and Rs. 412.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 236150.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.01%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.54% and 8.97% respectively.

The company has reported a rise of 39.60% in its net profit at Rs 3013.00 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021as compared to Rs 2158.30 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 0.75% at Rs 13793.20 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 13690.90 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 27.78% in its net profit attributed to equity holders at Rs 2972.30 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2326.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 2.68% at Rs 16778.70 crore for Q4FY21 as compared Rs 16340.50 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, the company has reported a rise of 15.90% in its net profit at Rs 10060.90 crore as compared to Rs 8680.70 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 0.38% at Rs 52682.30 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 52883.60 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.

For the year ended March 31, 2021, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 11.05% in its net profit attributed to equity holders at Rs 10796.40 crore as compared to Rs 9722.30 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 0.72% at Rs 64325.60 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 63862.60 crore for year ended March 31, 2020.
