Wipro rises on completing acquisition of Capco
Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 504.95, up by 15.05 points or 3.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 489.90 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 491.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 511.95 and Rs. 491.50 respectively. So far 569695 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 494.50 on 22-Apr-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 178.20 on 19-May-2020.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 494.00 and Rs. 474.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 268423.13 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.02 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.37 % and 9.00 % respectively.
Wipro has completed acquisition of Capco, a global management and technology consultancy company providing digital, consulting and technology services to financial institutions in the Americas, Europe and the Asia Pacific. The acquisition has been completed on April 29, 2021.
Earlier, the company had signed an agreement to acquire Capco. This acquisition will make Wipro one of the largest end-to-end global consulting, technology and transformation service providers to the banking and financial services industry. By combining Wipro’s capabilities in strategic design, digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity, IT and operations services with Capco’s domain and consulting strength, clients will gain access to a partner who can deliver integrated, bespoke solutions to help fuel growth and achieve their transformation objectives.
