The journey of Cornell Maha60 began with a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2019 between Cornell University, USA, and the Industries Department, Government of Maharashtra. Building on the unprecedented success of its inaugural cohort, the Cornell Maha 60 Accelerator Program, class of 2023-24, is poised to redefine global education and inclusive growth. Scheduled to run from September 2023 to August 2024, this unique program serves as a testament to the commitment of the Industries Department, Government of Maharashtra to fostering a diverse community of change-makers and visionary leaders.

The response to the second edition has been overwhelming, with a staggering 10,000 registrations and 650+ meticulously verified applicants vying for a coveted spot in the program. "We are excited to unveil the 2023-24 edition of the Cornell Maha 60 Accelerator Program, a natural progression from the triumphs of the inaugural edition," announced Mr. John Kallelil, CEO of XED. "This program epitomizes our commitment to providing aspiring entrepreneurs with access to world-class learning while fostering a dynamic community of transformative leaders. As XED, Cornell University, and the Maharashtra government come together once again, this program reaffirms its dedication to driving change and nurturing the trailblazers of tomorrow," he added.

Central to the ethos of Cornell Maha60 is its commitment to inclusivity and diversity. The selection process prioritizes individuals with native roots in Maharashtra and graduate degrees. Inspired by the legacy of Maharashtra's luminaries such as Mahatma Phule, Chatrapati Shahu, and Dr. Ambedkar, as well as India's constitutional ideals, the Business Accelerator Program actively encourages applications from women entrepreneurs and individuals hailing from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.

The upcoming edition of Cornell Maha60 will seamlessly blend online and offline components, fostering a comprehensive learning experience. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Mumbai, the program will be graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Harshadeep Kamble, Principal Secretary of the Industries Department, Government of Maharashtra, and Mr. Deependra Singh Kushwah, Development Commissioner of Industries, Maharashtra.
