Thermax trades higher on winning Rs 251.7 crore order

Thermax is currently trading at Rs. 2146.35, up by 17.35 points or 0.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 2129.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2199.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2199.95 and Rs. 2132.85 respectively. So far 2048 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2678.50 on 19-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1653.00 on 24-Feb-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2199.95 and Rs. 1901.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25719.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.61% and 10.40% respectively.

Thermax has received an order for Rs 251.7 crore from an Indian public sector power company. The contract is for the renovation and modernisation of the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) package of its 3x210 MW thermal power station in Bankura, West Bengal, India.

The ESP systems will be renovated, retrofitted and modernised to reduce particulate emissions and comply with the air quality standards set for the power plants. The scope of supply includes design, engineering, manufacturing, dismantling/relocation, civil work, construction and commissioning of the ESP systems. The project is slated to be completed in 25 months.
