Tata Power surges as its JV enters into partnership with SUN Mobility

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 100.90, up by 2.30 points or 2.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 98.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 100.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 102.65 and Rs. 100.10 respectively. So far 1560039 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 114.95 on 15-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.00 on 12-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 106.50 and Rs. 96.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32352.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.96% and 16.17% respectively.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture (JV) between Tata Power and the government of NCT of Delhi, has entered into partnership with SUN Mobility to set up a network of 'Battery Swap Points' across North and North-West Delhi.

In collaboration with TPDDL, SUN Mobility launched the first Swap Point with two Quick Interchange Stations, to serve the growing demand of EVs in the Azadpur area, one of the busiest marketplaces of the capital. Given the volume of electric two and three-wheelers in the area, the partnership aims at setting up a broad network of battery swapping infrastructure that makes swapping accessible to customers at the same scale and ease as conventional refuelling.
