Tata Power shines on getting LoA to implement smart metering project in CSPDCL

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 228.30, up by 6.65 points or 3.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 221.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 225.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 228.65 and Rs. 223.65 respectively. So far 536320 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 251.00 on 07-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 182.45 on 28-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 228.65 and Rs. 218.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 70824.70 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.93% and 29.20% respectively.

Tata Power has received Letter of Award (LoA) to implement smart metering project in Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company (CSPDCL). The LOA has been issued in conclusion to the tender floated by CSPDCL for three packages for different areas under the Chhattisgarh Discom. Tata Power participated in package 2 and emerged as a winner. The value of Project awarded to Tata Power is around Rs 1,744 crore and the project will be spanned over a period of 10 years.

The Project shall include Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning followed by Operation and Maintenance of smart meters at consumer end and at Distribution Transformers level. The project will be executed under Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and is expected to improve the AT&C losses in the designated area and increase revenue collection for CSPDCL.

CSPDCL is a state-owned electricity distribution company responsible for providing electricity to consumers across the state of Chhattisgarh.
