Tata Power gains on setting up over 450 charging facilities across national highways
Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 248.60, up by 1.65 points or 0.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 246.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 249.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 250.00 and Rs. 247.30 respectively. So far 131356 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 298.00 on 07-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 129.50 on 08-Sep-2021.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 251.00 and Rs. 233.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 78908.91 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.12% and 28.01% respectively.
Tata Power has set up over 450 charging facilities across more than 350 national highways, including one at the longest highway (NH 44) and another at the busiest highway (NH 19). This is in line with the company's nationwide plan of setting up charging points from north to south and from east to west.
These 450+ EV charging points on the highways are installed at diverse locations like hotels, commercial complexes, car dealerships, among others, in across 25 states and five union territories. For effective operational management of pan-India charging points, the company has also set up a Network Operations Centre (NOC), which provides the backbone for robust charging support. The company plans to have more than 6,500 charging points by this fiscal (FY23).
