Tata Power Company falls despite reporting 51% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 215.70, down by 2.35 points or 1.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 218.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 210.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 217.75 and Rs. 201.20 respectively. So far 8576735 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 269.70 on 19-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.65 on 30-Oct-2020.

Tata Power Company has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2021.

The company has reported around 13-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 1,875.12 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 145 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 32.66% at Rs 2,364.86 crore for Q2FY22 as compared Rs 1,782.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 50.75% in its net profit attributed owners of the company at Rs 421.51 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 279.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 20.68% at Rs 10,187.33 crore for Q2FY22 as compared Rs 8,441.60 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
