Sterlite Technologie Q4 net profit jumps 53.54% at Rs 109.20 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 109.20 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 71.12 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 53.54 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 25.34 per cent at Rs 1,304.22 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,040.54 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 26.23 per cent to Rs 1,078.31 crore from Rs 854.26 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 295.38 per cent at Rs 34.24 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 8.66 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 21.27 per cent to Rs 225.91 crore as against Rs 186.28 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 3.24 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 2.66 per cent y-o-y to Rs 53.62 crore, while Taxation increased by 291.45 per cent at Rs 48.07 crore (Mar'20 Rs 12.28 crore).
