SpiceJet trades higher on the BSE

SpiceJet is currently trading at Rs. 47.55, up by 0.20 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 47.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 48.20 and Rs. 47.50 respectively. So far 62665 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 87.25 on 24-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 46.40 on 06-May-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.40 and Rs. 47.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2876.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.40%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.22% and 39.38% respectively.

SpiceJet is planning to operate 37 special flights between India and Saudi Arabia till July 31, 2022 for Indian Haj pilgrims who will visit Islamic pilgrimage sites in Mecca and Medina. The special flights from Srinagar will depart for Medina between June 5, 2022 and June 20, 2022. Return flights from Jeddah to Srinagar are scheduled from July 15, 2022 to July 31, 2022. SpiceJet is the only Indian airline operating Haj flights this year. The operation of special Haj flights is set to resume after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
