Shoppers Stop declines on reporting 19% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

Shoppers Stop is currently trading at Rs. 642.65, down by 25.95 points or 3.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 668.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 673.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 690.25 and Rs. 641.45 respectively. So far 6263 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 819.00 on 21-Oct-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 303.00 on 24-Feb-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 710.00 and Rs. 641.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7138.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.46%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.40% and 7.14% respectively.

Shoppers Stop has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2022.

The company has reported rise of 23.67% in its net profit at Rs 62.06 crore for Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 50.18 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. Total income of the company increased by 19.70% to Rs 1,156.09 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 965.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported fall of 18.86% in its net profit at Rs 62.74 crore for Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 77.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 19.41% to Rs 1,161.44 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 972.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
