Sharda Cropchem posts Q1 net loss of Rs 25.53 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 25.53 crore compared to net profit of Rs 55.50 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 11.43 per cent at Rs 580.13 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 520.61 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 40.47 per cent to Rs 577.94 crore from Rs 411.42 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 30.03 per cent at Rs 19.53 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 27.91 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 97.99 per cent to Rs 2.19 crore as against Rs 109.20 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 98.19 per cent in June quarter. Interest grew by 56.10 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.64 crore, while Taxation decreased by 129.77 per cent at Rs -8.12 crore (Jun'21 Rs 27.28 crore).
