SMC Global Secur Q1 net profit jumps 73.98% at Rs 35.77 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 35.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 20.56 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 73.98 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 19.75 per cent at Rs 168.13 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 140.40 crore in the corresponding period last year. During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 10.91 per cent to Rs 117.48 crore from Rs 105.92 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 145.16 per cent at Rs 9.12 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 3.72 crore). Operating Profit surged by 46.90 per cent to Rs 50.65 crore as against Rs 34.48 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 22.68 per cent in June quarter. Interest grew by 52.17 per cent y-o-y to Rs 11.55 crore, while Taxation increased by 31.95 per cent at Rs 8.88 crore (Jun'21 Rs 6.73 crore).
