SJVN rises on inking pact for 669 MW Lower Arun Hydro Electric Project in Nepal
SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 35.94, up by 0.37 points or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 35.57 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 35.61 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 36.04 and Rs. 35.61 respectively. So far 15329 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 42.25 on 05-Dec-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 25.55 on 20-Jun-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 36.59 and Rs. 35.32 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13978.28 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.82% and 7.41% respectively.
SJVN has signed Project Development Agreement (PDA) of 669 MW Lower Arun Hydro Electric Project (HEP) in Nepal. The Project shall be constructed in five years at a cost of Rs 5,792 crore with a levelized tariff of Rs 4.99 per unit. The project will be developed on BOOT basis and on completion it will generate 2,901 million units of energy annually. In addition to this, the Company is also developing 217 KM long associated Transmission Network for power evacuation and export to India.
The 669 MW Lower Arun Hydro Electric Project is in Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur districts of Nepal. The company won the project through International Competitive Bidding in February 2021 and the MoU was signed in July 2021. A tail race development of 900 MW Arun 3 HEP project will not have any reservoir or dam and will operate as Tandem Operation System with Arun-3 Project.
SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
