SJVN rises on getting license for inter-state trading in electricity

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 32.20, up by 0.35 points or 1.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 31.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 32.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.50 and Rs. 31.65 respectively. So far 243529 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 33.80 on 19-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 24.50 on 12-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 32.50 and Rs. 29.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12516.40 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.14% and 6.09% respectively.

SJVN has been granted a Category 'I' license for inter-state trading in electricity in the whole of India by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
Earlier, SJVN had been issued Letter of Intent by UPNEDA for 75 MW grid connected Solar Power Project at Gurhah, in Jalaun District and 50 MW grid connected Solar Power Project at jrai, in Kanpur Dehat District in the state of Uttar Pradesh through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding.

SJVN is engaged in hydroelectric power generation originally established as a joint venture between the government and the state government of Himachal Pradesh to develop and operate the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS).
