SJVN moves up on inking power usage agreement with Punjab State Power Corporation

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 40.98, up by 0.39 points or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs. 40.59 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 41.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 41.50 and Rs. 40.82 respectively. So far 274151 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 42.90 on 26-Jun-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 26.50 on 06-Jul-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 42.90 and Rs. 39.01 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16080.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.82% and 7.41% respectively.

SJVN has signed a Power Usage Agreement (PUA) for 500 MW Solar Power with Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) at Patiala, Punjab. This 500 MW solar power capacity shall be supplied to PSPCL by SJVN from its under construction 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project in Rajasthan.

SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
