SJVN jumps on the BSE despite weakness over Dalal Street

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 29.40, up by 0.50 points or 1.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 28.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 29.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 29.60 and Rs. 28.60 respectively. So far 390480 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 33.80 on 19-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 24.50 on 12-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 29.65 and Rs. 27.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11533.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.65% and 6.59% respectively.

SJVN opened bridge near its hydro-power project in Uttarakhand to ensure better connectivity in the region and support the activities of its Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project. The 60-MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project is expected to be completed in the current financial year. The 70-metre long and 6-metre wide bridge, constructed at an approximate cost of Rs 3 crore, will facilitate better connectivity between villages Bainol, Naitwar and Mori and support the activities of Naitwar Mori Hydro Electric Project.

SJVN is engaged in hydroelectric power generation originally established as a joint venture between the government and the state government of Himachal Pradesh to develop and operate the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS).
