SJVN climbs on achieving single-day power generation of 50.498 MU from two plants

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 48.78, up by 2.98 points or 6.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 45.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 46.38 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 50.08 and Rs. 46.37 respectively. So far 3604105 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 50.08 on 19-Jul-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.90 on 12-Aug-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 50.08 and Rs. 45.32 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19295.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.72% and 7.51% respectively.

SJVN has achieved record single-day power generation of 50.498 million units (MU) from two hydro power stations in Himachal Pradesh. The 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) achieved a new milestone of 39.527 MU of power generation, surpassing its previous record of 39.526 MU on August 29, 2022.

The Rampur Hydro Power Station (Rampur HPS) achieved 10.971 MU of power generation, breaking its previous record of 10.954 MU on July 16, 2023. Both plants recorded their respective highest power generation levels on July 17.

SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
