Rupee opens flat against US dollar in early trade
The rupee opened on a flat note and edged higher by 2 paise to 72.94 against the US dollar in opening trade on Wednesday, amid positive domestic equity market. At the interbank forex market, the domestic unit opened at 72.96 against the US dollar and inched higher to 72.94 against the greenback, registering a rise of just 2 paise over its previous close. On Tuesday, the rupee had settled at 72.96 against the American currency.
