Rupee trades almost flat against US dollar on Tuesday
Indian rupee was trading almost flat against the US dollar on Tuesday amid the strengthening of American currency at overseas markets followed by geopolitical risks. Moreover, a weak trend in domestic equities and sustained foreign fund outflows also influenced rupee's trading, while investors are awaiting US and Indian inflation data for further cues. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital markets as they offloaded shares worth Rs 2,139.02 crore on Monday, exchange data showed.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading almost flat at its previous close of 82.40 on Monday. The currency touched a high and low of 82.4150 and 82.3350 respectively.
