M&M has reported a total sales of 68,443 units for Sep’21, up 32% MoM aided by better-than-expected numbers in Farm Equipment and Pick-ups. Utility vehicles were down 19% MoM to 12,863 units, LCVs/pick-ups were up 5% MoM to 8,784 units while total tractors grew by 99% MoM to 48,222 units. Domestic tractor sales were up strongly by 95% MoM to 39,053 units (only down -8% YoY). We expect the current issues about the supply of semiconductors to play out gradually and lead to a rebound in SUV/Pick-up volumes while Farm volumes would continue the declining trajectory on YoY basis given the high base over the 4-5 months.
