India administered more than 100 crores covid 19 vaccination on 21^st October 2021, this includes both 1^st dose as well as 2^nd dose. India become the 2^nd country to reach the 100 crore mark in the world after China, in June 2021 China reached 100 covid 19 vaccination. India has reached this mark of 100 crores covid 19 dose within 10 months, vaccination drive was started on 16^th January 2021. As of now, India has vaccinated more than 70.8 crores first doses and 29.6 crores second doses. Around 75% of the eligible population has been administered with at least a single dose of covid 19 vaccine and around 31% of the eligible population has been administered both doses. As of now, India is looking for 2 doses of the Covid 19 vaccine but several countries in the world have come up with the booster dose for the covid 19 vaccine for the senior population. As of now eligible population is more age of 18, in near future, it is expected that the vaccination will be open for age between 12-18 also.
