Coal reported a 36.8% YoY growth in consolidated revenues to ₹25,282 crore for Q1FY22, as compared to revenues of ₹18,487 crore for Q1FY21. Sales volume for the quarter was up by 33.2% YoY to 160.44mn Tons while production was up by 2.4% YoY to 121.04mn Tons. EBIDTA for the quarter stood at ₹4,844 crore up 58.7% YoY while EBIDTA margins expanded by 265bps YoY to 19.2%. Net profits for the quarter was up by 52.8% YoY to ₹ 3,174 crore. Overall the company posted a good set of numbers for the quarter largely driven by volume growth.
