Power Grid trades higher on getting approval for three transmission projects

Power Grid is currently trading at Rs. 214.70, up by 2.15 points or 1.01% from its previous closing of Rs. 212.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 213.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 215.20 and Rs. 212.75 respectively. So far 104562 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 248.25 on 10-May-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 167.00 on 29-Jul-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 215.95 and Rs. 206.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 149483.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.37% and 3.29% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India has received investment approval for Transmission Network Expansion in Gujrat to increase ATC from ISTS: Part B at an estimated cost of Rs 4,546.26 crore scheduled to be commissioned by June, 2023. The company has also received investment approval for Transmission Network Expansion in Gujrat to increase ATC from ISTS: Part C at an estimated cost of Rs 186.19 crore scheduled to be commissioned matching with establishment of 400/220kV Prantij S/s and 400kV Sankhari- Prantij D/c line by GETCO (presently expected by March, 2025 and for Western Region Expansion Scheme XXVI at an estimated cost of Rs 127.61 crore scheduled to be commissioned matching with downstream 220kV lines being implemented by MSETCL (presently expected by June, 2024). The board of directors at its meeting held on July 06, 2022 has approved the same.
