The BSE Sensex ended at 54,492.84 up by 123.07 points or 0.23% after trading in a range of 54,717.24 and 54,230.89. There were 15 stocks advancing and 15 stocks declining on the index.

The broader indices ended in green and red respectively; the BSE Mid cap index up by 0.10%, and Small cap index was down by 0.43%.

The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Energy was up by 0.92%, FMCG was up by 0.55%, and Telecom was up by 3.39%, while, Realty was down by 1.06%, Utilities was down by 0.39%, Capital Goods was down by 0.02%, and Oil & Gas was down by 0.17%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

There were Bharti Airtel was up by 4.30%, ITC was up by 3.14%, Tech Mahindra was up by 2.55%, TATA Steel was up by 2.15%, and HCL Tech was up by 1.93%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

There were SBIN was down by 3.33%, Indusind Bank was down by 2.20%, Bajaj Finance was down by 1.78%, ICICI Bank was down by 1.77%, and Bajaj Finserv was down by 1.36%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

The CNX Nifty ended at 16,294.60 up by 35.80 points or 0.22% after trading in a range of 16,349.45 and 16,210.30. There were 26 stocks advancing and 24 stocks declining.
