* The BSE Sensex ended at 54,277.72 down by 215.12 points or 0.39% after trading in a range of 54,633.58 and 54,210.33. There were 13 stocks advancing and 17 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 0.23%, and Small cap index was up by 0.28%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Utilities was up by 1.13%, Oil & Gas was up by 0.08%, and Telecom was up by 1.39%, while, Realty was down by 1.01%, Energy was down by 1.45%, FMCG was down by 0.09%, and Capital Goods was down by 0.27%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were Indusind Bank was up by 2.79%, Tech Mahiondra was up by 1.65%, Bharti Airtel was up by 1.40%, Maruti was up by 1.08%, and NTPC was up by 0.99%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Reliance was down by 2.07%, SBIN was down by 1.40%, UltraTech Cement was down by 1.40%, TATA Steel was down by 1.27%, and HDFC was down by 1.04%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 16,238.20 down by 56.40 points or 0.35% after trading in a range of 16,336.75 and 16,223.30. There were 23 stocks advancing and 27 stocks declining.
